I'm energetic and happily retired. I have my own car and teeth, losing my hair but not my sense of humour.
I like walking along a stream/river/canal to take in the views or along a cliff top or a sandy beach,- yes I know I’m 100 miles from the nearest sea.
If there is a glass of wine at the end, heaven.
You will quite often find me tidying up the garden, pruning the neighbours overhanging trees, bushes and shrubs but am happy to go back occasionally to London where I was brought up. It was there that my eclectic taste in music evolved in the 60's.
There are short breaks to be had, to see our own varied Islands.
I'm active (definitely not a sun/pool lounger) preferring to explore/mix with the locals, but also happy to watch the world go by (people watching) with a beer or a glass of wine.
Quiet, relaxing evenings also have to be done.
